Video Of ‘Possessed’ Baby Goes Viral!

In a video posted by YouTubers Chris and Keelan Chronicles, the toddler was recorded crying for his mother, before attempting to get out of his crib.

Instead of climbing from the crib, he somehow managed to balance himself on the crib railing, standing for a long moment before taking a tumble backwards and falling into the cot.

The caption of the video reads: ‘Caught on Nanny cam in the middle of the night… No children were harmed. This is not my child in the video.’

The video has left viewers with a lot of questions.

While some feared for the safety of the child, others questioned his balancing skills – worrying that the child may be ‘possessed’.

One commented: ‘This will end up being part of a new horror movie… I guess.’

Others have been more skeptical of the video, and are convinced it is edited: ‘Photoshop plus editing video. Fake,’ another said.

With the loud cries, the absurd balancing and the scary fall, this makes for truly disturbing footage, whether real or not. And if it is fake, it still begs a number of questions:

Why post it online? Why include a fall? Why does the baby sound so scared? How the hell is this happening?

We spoke to Ashley Darkwood, Lead Paranormal Investigator of Wycombe Paranormal Investigation.

He told us: ‘As an investigator you have to begin by debunking, looking for the most probable and non paranormal cause before you can start making claims to the contrary. With modern technology being quite affordable it is entirely possible this is a hoax.

‘I also find it strange that the parents would make this available if the child is genuinely suffering. For me, a big indicator of it being a hoax is that it follows the “Hollywood” definition of what a possession should look like.

‘In cases of negative energy attachments I have encountered, the behaviours are much more subtle. The entity does not want to be revealed and chooses to live vicariously through it’s host, much like a parasite.’

He added: ‘It is of course possible that the child has abnormally good balance for its age!’

We also spoke to Hazel F Williams, Founder of Spectrum Paranormal Investigations, who also doubted the video to be a real ‘possession’. She said: ‘On initial investigation into the video itself I can see that at 0:27 secs as the child cries out mummy, the voice doesn’t actually sync in time with the video!

‘By this I mean the child’s mouth doesn’t seem to actually say the words mummy but remains open. I deafly have to agree this seems to be some kind of video manipulation because something of this nature would be truly horrifying.’

Viewers of the video have also noticed some irregularities within the video, such as the way the coat on the door moves as his hand does, and the repeated pattern of his hand movement over the railings before finally stands.

If you stop the video at 00:41, people are saying that the baby is taken out of the shot completely.
